Locked out of my account api

Hi all,

 

I've been working on my app and have finally reached the testing phase where I need users.

I currently have two users signed up, and I thought I'd be proactive by asking Strava if they could increase my API application's 10-user limit before I reached it. They replied that they can't increase the limit until I've actually reached 10 users.

However, since that conversation, my developer API account has been locked, and I no longer have access. I've tried contacting support, but I only get responses from the AI assistant. Eventually it said it couldn't help and would escalate my case to a human, but it's now been three days and I still haven't heard anything.

At this point I'm completely blocked because I can't continue developing or testing without access to my developer API.

Has anyone experienced this before or know how I can get hold of someone at Strava who can resolve it?

If a Strava account is completely blocked, then it isn’t developer and API related and the usual Strava support has to handle it. They are known to have extremely long response times.

HI, thanks for letting me know, strange the way they opperate, all I asked for was to be able to extend past 10 and they block my account.

You didn’t mention in the first post that Strava has actively blocked one account of yours due to your request and this action doesn’t really match their answer that you need 10 users first in order to ask for more. Maybe you can give some more information about the sitution.

Sorry, I should say that I’m assuming that is the problem, I have no way of telling if it was actively blocked or if the problem is something else, 

I’ve been using it for small dev ideas for a few years and never has a problem,

In case you are not completely locked out and only the API access doesn’t work anymore it could be due to a missing Strava subscription that is needed since 1st of July.

I have a feeling thats what it could be, thanks, I’m going to take a month and check, I’ll let you know
