I use a Fenix 6S and upload activities to Strava with an Android phone.

When I save an outdoor row without making any edits it saves correctly showing the pace/500m BUT as soon as I make any changes for instance to the title of the activity it switches to show Time, Distance and Calories instead which is really frustrating as it’s useless information.  I think this is part of an earlier bug with QE where it was saving the row as ‘workout’.

My friend uses an iPhone and does not have this problem  as the screen shot below shows.   Links to activities are below the screenshot.

Hi, got the same problem with outdoor rowing only. The app never changes anything in other outdoor sports. Have you got any replies?

Best,

Justyna

No replies yet so I'm still trying workarounds like exiting out of Quick Edit to save the row and not making any edits to the description (not ideal)..

It might not be anything to do with the type of phone but it seems likely it's linked to the 'Quick Edit' functionality that was first released late last year as it was fine before that.

Another test today has proved that even if you ignore Quick Edit it will still change the stats to ‘Time, distance, calories’ if you make an edit to the title/description.

It will only keep the right data (pace/500m) if you save the row and never make any edits.

This is a bug that needs fixing please Strava.

Hi, thank you for the comments!

My question is how do you change from quick edit to regular edit? After completing an activity I just accept whatever it suggest in the window that pops up (that’s quick edit right?) - morning rowing, afternoon rowing, whatever. But then I edit the title - through a regular edit I suppose (?) and this shit happens (pardon my language but this is annoying if you cannot compare your pace with other crews).

So, once again, thanks for checking all the options and sharing the results,

best,

Justyna

PS. Do you mind if I follow you on strava? I will notice if you figured out how to solve the problem:)

I tested again today on a row.  I saved in Quick Edit this time but I haven’t changed the title or description so it still looks correct.

I’m going to leave it like this as a good example for now and resist changing the description for a day or so to see what happens.

I’m rowing again tmrw so will try testing another scenario then and let you know.

To exit out of QE just hit the back button but I don’t think it will make any difference if you still edit the description.

I have raised a support ticket for this bug.

Request #3588436

Strava team have acknowledged the bug as a known issue being worked in 🤞🤞

@Juustyna The workaround for this issue (until they fix it) is just to save the row on your phone without making any edits and then make edits on another device like an iPad or pc.  It looks like this bug is only on the mobile app….

Dear JackH

Thank you for keeping me posted!

Best,

Justyna
