Hello everyone,

I am looking for some guidance regarding the Strava Developer Program review process.

I submitted a request on April 29 to increase the athlete capacity limit for my application.

Ticket number: 14925
Client ID: 221219

At the time, I was informed that the review process would take approximately 7 to 10 business days. However, this timeframe has already passed, and I have not yet received a clear status update regarding the approval.

My web application is already fully developed and ready to be launched. At this point, the launch depends exclusively on the approval of the athlete capacity increase, since the current limit prevents additional athletes from connecting through the Strava API.

I have already contacted developers@strava.com, but I would like to know if there is any recommended way to follow up, escalate the request, or confirm whether the application is still under review.

Any guidance from the Strava team or from other developers who have gone through this process would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Hi!

Did you get any answer? I’m also waiting and wondering how long it could last.

Regards!

Hi Damian,

Yes, I did receive a response from Strava.

However, I had requested capacity for 300 athletes to start my project, and they only approved 10 athletes.

This is a big problem for me because I have developed a training management platform that I plan to commercialize through subscriptions. My own running team would be the pilot group for the launch, but my coaching business already has more than 100 athletes. With only 10 API-connected athletes allowed, I cannot even properly run the pilot phase.

I’m honestly very disappointed with this situation, because it is directly preventing me from launching my product.

I hope you have better luck with your request.

Best regards,
Rodrigo

Hi Rodrigo!

Thanks for your answer.

I’m afraid, that your limit has been reached automatically. It has nothing to do with your request.

Everyones limit has been reached to 10, so I’m afraid you are (just like me, and few others developpers) still stuck in queue.

Wish you luck and please - give here some information when you receive any response.

Best regards,

Damian.
