Dear Strava API Team,
I am writing to request an increase in the athlete authorization limit for my Strava API application.
Application Details:
Application Name: Sebuse Pro 2025
Client ID: 181334
Current Use: Club Dashboard for SEBUSEPRO 2025 (Club ID: 1790936)
Request:
I would like to request an increase in the maximum number of athletes who can authorize my application from the default limit to at least 400 athletes.
Use Case:
I have developed a dashboard application for our running club (SEBUSEPRO 2025), which currently has 48 active members but onward will be around 400 athletes. The dashboard helps our club members to:
-
View leaderboards and performance statistics
-
Track individual and team activities
-
Monitor training progress with activity duration filters (30–90 minutes)
-
Export activity data for further analysis
Each member needs to authenticate with Strava to share their activity data (with consent), enabling the dashboard to display comprehensive club-wide statistics and recent activity summaries.
Current Issue:
We have reached the default athlete authorization limit, and new members are encountering HTTP 403 errors when attempting to log in. This prevents them from joining our club’s tracking and analytics system.
Privacy & Data Usage:
Only verified club members can access the dashboard.
We request only the minimum necessary scopes: read and activity:read_all.
All data is used strictly for internal club performance tracking.
No personal data is shared or stored outside the club environment.
and I already submit the form for the limit, please review my request.
I would sincerely appreciate your assistance in increasing our athlete limit to accommodate all current and future club members.
Thank you very much for your time and consideration.
Kind regards,
