Hello Strava Team,

I hope you are doing well.

I am writing to kindly request an increase in the athlete capacity limit for our application (Client ID: 237316) from 1 athlete to 999 athletes.

Our application is already in production and available at:

https://www.vasudevcyclingclub.com

We submitted the API review form on May 11, 2026, and we are still awaiting a response regarding the review status. The current athlete limit is the only remaining blocker preventing us from onboarding our cycling community and fully launching the platform.

About Our Application

Vasudev Cycling Club is a community-driven platform designed to motivate cyclists to ride consistently and improve their overall health and fitness.

With the athlete's consent through Strava OAuth, our platform:

Retrieves athlete riding activities from Strava.

Calculates cycling statistics and performance metrics.

Displays community leaderboards on our website.

Encourages healthy competition among cyclists.

Motivates riders to stay active and maintain regular riding habits.

Our primary goal is to promote fitness, consistency, and community engagement through cycling.

Strava Data Usage

We use Strava data solely to:

Display athlete activity statistics.

Generate leaderboard rankings.

Encourage participation within our cycling community.

Request

We would greatly appreciate it if the review team could:

Review our submitted application.

Increase the athlete capacity limit from 1 to 999 athletes.

Provide any additional feedback or requirements if further action is needed from our side.

Hi @Guhanandan , you can self upgrade to 10 users on the API application dashboard but otherwise you have to wait, reviews can take many months.

Hey @Guhanandan , your leaderboard feature is why you're stuck in review.

Strava's API Policy (2026) Section 2.3 is clear -> "Strava Data provided by a specific Strava user may be displayed or disclosed in your Developer Application only to that user. You may not display or disclose Strava Data related to other users, even if such data is publicly viewable on the Strava Platform." [Strava](https://www.strava.com/legal/api_policy)

On top of that, the API Agreement explicitly states "you may not create applications that compete with or replicate Strava functionality." [strava](https://www.strava.com/legal/api) Community leaderboards are a core Strava feature, building one as a third-party app falls squarely into replicating Strava functionality.

Unfortunately I highly doubt this will pass review.

Also I had a check on your website, besides the blatant disregard for policy, you are also not adhering to brand guidelines, your Connect to Strava button is completely off, its not even the Strava logo, and you need to use the exact SVG assets they provide. The whole app is broken, it's clearly vibe coded and I have nothing against vibe coded app unless they clearly look like slop with broken links, broken features, broken assets which yours unfortunately is. I'm sorry man but to be frank you won't hear from Strava until and unless you revamp the whole idea and site.
