Hello Strava Community,

I have developed a non-commercial application named “FitScore” aimed at helping my office fitness group track and compare our activities. The app utilizes Strava data to generate weekly leaderboards, assign badges, and provide insights into our performance.

To enhance the functionality of the app, I am requesting access to the following scopes:

  • activity:read_all
  • profile:read_all

These scopes will allow the app to access detailed activity data and profile information necessary for generating accurate and personalized insights.

The application is intended solely for personal use within our closed fitness group (20-25 members) and will not be distributed publicly or used for commercial purposes.

I appreciate your consideration and am happy to provide any additional information required.

Thank you!

You have to request these scopes from each of your users individually. If they already have consented to your app they have to do it again with the wider scopes. Further information is in https://developers.strava.com/docs/authentication/ in the Section “Requesting Access”.

Thanks.

But I’m not asking about OAuth scopes(that will come later). My issue is the 1-athlete limit on my developer app. I’d like to use this app with a small group of fitness friends. Could you please help me request access for multiple users?

PS: it’s a non commercial project for a closed group of 20

Hi community members… any help here will be appreciated.

You have to submit your app for review first as explained in https://developers.strava.com/docs/getting-started/#basic. In case you have already done that send a follow up email to developers@strava.com, add your client id and state your request about increasing the athlete limit.

I also should note that we expect from developers to use the search function, your new question was covered several times already.
