Hello Strava Developer Team and Community,
I’ve developed an application called Nghe An Runners(https://ngheanrunners.info/), a gamified fitness platform where runners compete to control territories on real-world maps based on their activity data.
I’m now building a localized version of this platform specifically for our running community, Nghệ An Runners.
About Nghệ An Runners:
Nghệ An Runners is a community running club founded on June 13, 2021. The club brings together:
- Runners currently living in Nghệ An
- People originally from Nghệ An living across Vietnam
- Members from other running clubs nationwide
- Especially smaller local running groups within Nghệ An province
Our goal is to grow a strong, connected running community and encourage a more active lifestyle through technology.
About the Application:
- App Name: Nghe An Runners(community deployment for Nghệ An Runners)
- Client ID: 230203
- Functionality:
- Users connect their Strava accounts via OAuth
- The app syncs activity data (distance, time, GPS tracks)
- Activities are used to calculate territory ownership on a shared map
- Data Usage:
- Only activity data is accessed
- No data is shared with third parties
Current Limitation:
At the moment, the application is limited to 1 athlete, which prevents us from onboarding members of the club.
Request:
I would like to request approval to increase the athlete limit so multiple users from the Nghệ An Runners community can connect their Strava accounts and participate in the platform.
The app is already live, stable, and ready to support real users. This feature is essential for enabling community engagement and scaling the platform.
I would greatly appreciate any feedback or guidance from the Strava team or the developer community before I proceed with resubmission.
