Strava activity times out at 9 minutes

Hello! 

I have noticed that if I start an activity on the Strava app on my Pixel watch 2, it times out at 9 minutes 

Has anyone experienced this? And any ideas on how to fix it?

Hi ​@Samj, thanks for the additional details - it seems that you're not the only one having this issue. I’ve found this older thread, people were advised to contact Strava Support (this is a community forum where users help each other when possible, but in situations like this, some deeper diagnostics is needed):

Hi ​@Samj, when you say the activity “times out”, do you mean that it gets marked as completed, or that the app crashes, or yet something else?

Also - there's a couple of things that you might want to check:

  • having the latest version of the app (reinstalling might help too)
  • enough storage space on the device 
  • no battery saving mode on the device that could be interfering with the recording

Hey ​@Jana_S ,

So at exactly 09:59 it pauses the activity. And even if I try resuming it. The activity ends (my guess is that it crashes)

- yes I have the latest version installed on my watch

-Yes enough storage space

- it's not on battery saving mode
