I realize this isn’t the appropriate forum for this discussion, but I honestly don’t know where else to raise the issue or get Strava’s attention. I apologize for posting here, but I’m hoping someone from Strava will see this and pass the feedback along to the appropriate team.

Strava’s comment limitation is incredibly frustrating, especially when you’re part of a large running club or community during a major race. It’s almost insulting that you can’t congratulate more than 20 teammates without being restricted.

Today’s NYRR Staten Island Half Marathon had approximately 12,000 runners, many from local NYC running clubs. These are exactly the moments when Strava should encourage community engagement, not limit it.

Instead, the restriction creates unnecessary frustration and leaves people feeling slighted when their teammates congratulate some runners but not others. What should be a positive experience celebrating everyone’s accomplishments ends up creating awkwardness and resentment.

Strava is built around community, encouragement, and celebrating each other’s achievements. Limiting genuine interactions among teammates completely undermines that purpose. There has to be a better way to distinguish authentic engagement from spam.
