Hi Strava Developer Support and Community,

Our Strava API access for GW Race Control is expiring tomorrow, and we have not received a response to our previous emails or application review request.

App name: GW Race Control
Client ID: 252644
Current athlete capacity: 10
Requested athlete capacity: 5,000
Deadline: ASAP / before access expires tomorrow
Developer account email: available on request

Use case:
We are launching GW Race Control, an application for race organisers. We want to use Strava authentication so participants can authorize access to their activity data and select a race GPX/activity file to upload into our system for route audit.

The purpose is to help organisers verify whether the required race course was completed correctly and within the expected time. We only need GPX/location points with timestamps for this validation process.

Compliance details:

  • OAuth callback domain: app-api.gwracecontrol.com

  • Scopes used: read

  • We only access user-authorized data

  • We do not use Strava data for AI/ML model training

  • We do not share Strava data with unauthorized third parties

Could someone from Strava please confirm whether our application is currently in review and whether our API access can be extended while the review is pending?

This is urgent because our users may lose Strava sync tomorrow.

Thank you,
Kārlis
GW Race Control

In case you mean the API access expires because you don’t have a subscription yet then you should simply get one. I can’t think of another scenario where API access stops to work. A pending review has nothing to do with expiring.

You are right. I started to panic but it's token that expires today.

But still - I'm waiting for the review now almost a month.
