Same issue with my GW4. It's sub zero up here, that button gets a lot of use when running with gloves on. I hope it gets fixed.

Same issue on galaxy watch 5 pro. Similar reports on reddit - seems related to UI 6 update?

Definitely after the UI 6 update.

It may be the excuse I need to get a garmin instead.

+1 here on GW4 classic. Only encountered the bug after the UI 6 update.

Also commenting after the UI 6 update, pause no longer working on GW5

I submitted a ticket for this issue a couple of weeks ago: Strava ticket #3175111

I haven’t had a reply yet. Just a “We are continuing to work through our backlog” response. I don’t know if the Strava app devs can fix this. It seems an underlying operating system issue caused by the upgrade.

I’ve had a bit of a love-hate thing with my Samsung GW4 for the three years I’ve been using it. This was the excuse I needed to get a Garmin FR265. 

The Garmin running watch is a game changer if you’ve been using a Galaxy watch.

Adding my frustration to this not being solved. Have Galaxy watch 6 and used to love being able to pause runs with second button of watch, now it's ridiculous having to restart run with sweaty fingers and a button on screen that's so small.
