Horseback Riding

Horseback riding should be added to the Strava app. Using the mountain bike option isn’t as accurate. Same muscle groups, but there’s no way I burned less calories giving my all in a horse polo tournament, than doddling around normal club chukker nights 😂

Create a segment on a Virtual ride

I would like to see my effort on a specific climb on a Tacx ride. Unfortunately there are no segments on this ride. When I try to create s segment I get "Something went wrong" also if I make it private. Anybody got a good solution around this problem? Cheers Mikael

Je me doute que cela pose certains pb de confidentialité mais qd même !Translation:Hello,I would find it interesting to be able to share my personal activity map with my friends to see which roads I have been able to use. I suspect that this poses some privacy issues but still!

Display Surface Type when viewing saved routes

Display Surface Type when viewing saved routes. This is displayed in the route Edit screen but not when viewing saved routes. Other services already do this and it is super helpful and just makes sense. Especially since the data is already available.

Separate Run, Bike, Swim Walk & Workout Leaderboards in Multi-Sport Clubs

At Strava Multi-Sport Clubs, weekly stats reporting groups all activities together.  Please can we change this so that leaderboards on multi-sport clubs are set up to show separate reporting for running, cycling, walking, swimming and workouts etc? At the #RCUCRC (www.strava.com/clubs/rcucrc), we are a running club, but with many members who Run, Bike, Swim & Workout and we have had feedback to make changes which we cannot do as yet.  Please help? Thank you.

snowboardong apple watch data nit syncing to strava

Hi if I record a snowboard activity on my Apple Watch it shows number of runs, maps heart rate etc when I upload to Strava it says 0 distance 0 elevation and none of the map data syncs. If I change to cycle as an activity it gives distance and elevation. Why is this? The data is clearly there but not being brought into Strava.

Improve the process for improvements

This community hub is a great way to generate ideas and have interested users comment on them.  I believe the community base is limited in number and not representative of the broader strava community.  For example, many great ideas were proposed and closed due to lack of attention in a sufficient window of time.  I would be interested in how many active community members regularly review the ideas and believe this is a difficult task.  I would think many of the fantastic ideas here would address issues/improvements that many strava users encounter and think there could be a way to pose these vetted fantastic ideas to the larger community, possibly by activity type.  If a user is a subscriber, active road rider, and 5-10 fantastic ideas for road riders pop up, it might be nice for a sub-set of this user group to review and vote on them.  For example, as a cyclist, I find it challenging to wade through many other sport comments, though while interesting, would make being an activity com

Activity Feed Changes ?

Today under  following tab the activities of those athletes are no longer listed by recent date. The dates are completely random making it almost impossible to acknowledge their efforts with kudos. Many of them participate in multiple activities per day and I've been scrolling endlessly to find everyone.It was working fine over the weekend!!  1st qnd 2nd  May 2025 and now just SHIT!!

Advice on map run

Hi,I’ll be in London for work, and I need to do a training run on one of the days I’m there; I created this map. https://www.strava.com/routes/3327988429394644784Basically, I’m on Poland Street, and I want to go around the parks to make it more interesting. This will be a 7 am run before the shops open. But I’m wondering if going down Oxford Street on the way back is the best option.Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!Cheers

GPS update rate/interval on iOS killing battery

Lately, the Strava app on my iphone 14 has become unusable on longer runs and tours. After 2 hours, my battery went from 90% to 25%. Comparably, on OnX Backcountry, my battery only goes down 5-10% after 2 hours. On other tracking and map apps, you can set the GPS update and recording intervals, such as 10 seconds or 10 meters. On Strava, there are no such options and it seems to update constantly. Accuracy is nice, but it would be nicer to use strava for longer trips!

Hi,I started using the app, and got a G2R Multi watch. In his application (Mwatch) it is possible to share my physical activities with STRAVA, but when sharing and allowing the sharing of data appears ERROR 403 in the strava app, saying that this application has already exceeded the number of connected athletes.  How do I solve that? i would love to sync the apps.

Unable to join family plan - Country is correct - Currency seems to be different

I’m trying to join a family plan, but I keep getting a message saying, “You must live in the same country to join their family plan.” My country is set to the UK in my settings, but when I try to join the plan, the price shows in dollars ($) instead of pounds (£).I contacted Strava support almost a week ago, but I haven’t heard back yet. Can anyone please help me fix this?Thank you

Support from Strava - email

My account it attached to an email I do not have access to anymore.   I want to change it but the request goes to the old email?…  I have a ticket and am wondering how long it takes to get a response.   Just read another person who had the same issue and one thing mentioned is they would reach out on email if more information is needed.   That won’t work if they request to the old email??  Any suggestions or can someone let me know how long it typically takes before there is a response?   Thanks.Joe

Mismatched powergraphs Web/ App.

 Hello everyone,I am currently busy with indoor training on my Tacx. Both for better condition but certainly also to greatly improve my FTP and VO2max.For example, I have done a Tabatata interval training almost every week in the past few weeks. First a good warm-up followed by 3x 9 sessions of 20 seconds >500W, 10 seconds rest and then 10 minutes of easy cycling. At the end I added 2 "intervals" of around my FTP (339W/ 2,83W/kg).This is also clearly visible in my graphs on the Strava website and on Garmin Connect (sorry). If I look at the same training in my Strava App, it does not correspond to reality at all. I am missing the 2nd interval session here. I do see a small increase but not as the others are displayed.The graphs of my heart rate/speed and cadence do correspond to each other.Known problem/ bug?

User specified surface types and road conditions

I would like the option to mark sections of roads and specify surface type and personal notes of interest (ex. “muddy passage”, “avoid when raining”, “Fast cat. 1 gravel”, “very scenic view”) to help with route planning. These could offcourse be open for sharing too.After years of riding and mapping your local area it becomes very difficult to keep track of these things, and if I wanted to plan a fast, smooth gravel ride with some scenic views, it would be great to be able to have your own previous experiences as help.When it comes to surface types I know Strava suggests contributing data to the OSM, but this is a very slow and imprecise way of adressing this. I have literally hundreds of road sections around here where the surface type-feature is of limited help, even if correct, and I have to rely solely on memory for surface type and possible obstacles. I imagine this would be a way to build a very, very powerful route planner. As for the moment I am using private segments for this,

Club Invite Calendar View

Would love to see a calendar view of all club invites.  What’s on tap for this week - look at calendar view and see all of the runs/rides that are scheduled for the week from the various clubs you belong to.  Currently you have to click on each club individually to see what is happening with each club.

1. Customisable Metrics display & 2. additional bluetooth sensors (cadence, speed, power)

After my Wahoo Elmnt Roam bike computer died, I have been using an old smartphone with android apps instead of a dedicated bike computer. I noticed that Wahoo Fitness and Strava have some significant limitations when it comes to either customisable metrics being displayed (both Wahoo & Strava) and BT sensor support (Strava only supports HR, not Cadence, Speed or Power). For example, “Ride with GPS” has a fully customisable metrics screen  (even with the free version!) and supports many different types of sensors.  It would be much better if Strava supported more than just HR and it is quite insulting to subscribers to suggest it has been “resolved” with the topic linked here:  https://communityhub.strava.com/topic/show?tid=5083&fid=6  Furthermore, the Strava metrics screen should be customizable with more than just Speed, Distance, Time and HR, e.g. it should support other BT sensors like Cadence, Speed and Power as well as typical metrics found in wahoo and garmin devices.  Yo

Enable Manual Retire Date For Component

Hi,I would like to select a date when I retire a part. This is extremely useful if I want to track the usage of e.g. tires. I may have forgotten to retire on the exact date of exchange and today I cannot do this in the UI. It is possible in the “Add Component” function. Desired state:When I click “Retire” show a selection box “Today” “Retired on” (with date box) Thank you for considering this.

Maximum Grade/Steepness

Strava activity feed nicely sums up key stats of a ride (or run, swim, etc) that we post to review, and for followers to see.  For example for cycling it’s distance, elevation, average speed/max speed, time.  I propose that maximum grade be shown as well, since it’s a key difficulty element of a ride. Since the feed already shows max speed as an element of average speed, likewise max grade is an element of overall elevation.  It’s an important component of a ride’s (or run, hike, etc) difficulty, and something most are interested in knowing, not to mention bragging rights, and a topic of conversation.Seems very simple to add this bit of data to our Strava activity posts.  Thoughts please?

Share planned runs and rides with friends

We need a feature where you can share your planned upcoming runs/rides with your friends.It’s a nightmare to work out who’s keen and get organised for a run or ride, yet exercising together is so much better, so please can Strava make it way easier to do! E.g. you’d share a proposed cycle route map/departure location & time, and speed range, and you can request to join if it looks like a fit for you. What am I missing?!

Address based Map Visibility should include an option to hide selected area for the whole activity.

When setting an address based map privacy radius, there should be an option to hide all parts of route that enter that radius, not just the start and finish.
