Flyover data is incomplete but activity playback shows complete

My flyover map of activities synced from Garmin Fenix through Garmin connect is always incomplete. If I do a 5 km hike, the flyover only shows 3-3.5 km of data. But the map and other data has synced perfectly and I can view my complete activity playback without any issues. 

 

It seems to be an issue only with flyover when shared to Instagram. I have attached a screenshot of both my flyover and its associated activity below.
