I would like to suggest a small but meaningful feature improvement.
Whenever I receive an alert that my son, daughter, or wife has completed an activity, the notification says: “Your friend …… just completed a run.”
It would be really nice if users could choose a private nickname or relationship label for people they follow, for example:
“Your son …… just completed a run,”
or
“Your friend …… (your son) just completed a run.”
This nickname should be private and visible only to me, not shown publicly or on the other person’s profile.
It would make Strava feel more personal, especially for family members
