Does anyone know of any workaround to sync an Aolon watch's heart rate data to Strava? The watch seems to be automatically syncing other metrics like pace, calories, steps, cadence, etc except for the heart rate and there isn't any obvious options on the app to sync it.

Brand: Aolon

Model: Tetra R4

Hi @RandomlyRJ,

I'm not familiar with that device but in general, you need to allow health-related data to be synced. It's in the Settings > Data Permissions, make sure that it's enabled:

I actually have checked all of those and made sure all the permissions were allowed. The watch's companion app records the heart rate, even Google Fit reads the heart rate and it's the same as the record on the watch's companion app, however, this data does not appear on Strava.

My watch is also not on Strava's default device list and even if I select "I have a different device" it's not in there. It's just interesting and perplexing how Strava reads all the watch's data except for the heart rate. I can't figure it out and it's bothering me so much 😭😭😭

So maybe a workaround… are you able to set up syncing from google fit? I have no idea whether your watch is actually supported by Strava, but let's assume that it's not - so syncing via a supported “proxy” could be a solution.

Another thing to try could be manually exporting a .fit file from google fit (assuming it's an available option) and manually uploading to Strava - not as a solution, rather to see whether it makes a difference.
