I just started using Strava this week, had been a map my run user for last few years.  Everything seemed to be going ok, but during my last few runs when I go to look at my details ( heart rate, distance, pace, etc) my app just shows a black screen with a small x in the top left corner.  If I click on the x, it ends my run.  No matter how many times I turn my wrist, tap the screen, etc, the app is unresponsive even though it’s still recording and giving me audio splits.  This is driving me crazy.  Is there a setting I can change to get it where I can see my data while running?

I don’t know if this is what’s happening to you, but starting with watchOS 11, activating Low Power Mode during a workout makes my screen extremely dim, to the point where I can barely see anything.

If that’s what you’re talking about, press the Side Button, then disable Low Power Mode. You only need to do this once, then the next time you turn on Low Power Mode, the screen will display with the correct brightness.

This has been happening to me almost every time I install a new watchOS update.

Thanks for the response, definitely not the issue, but I can see how having the screen be very dim would provide similar issues.  In this case, the small x in corner is normal brightness, like it is meant to be there.

Hi @Hiropro

Were you able to resolve this issue? As @zecanard mentioned, low power mode is not recommended when recording using the Strava App for Apple Watch.

Not completely.  I think I have determined that this only happens when I have on gloves and/or long sleeves that cover the watch.  I think what is happening is if the watch face gets touched too many times it goes into this mode.  Most of the runs I have recorded recently have been fine, but the same thing did happen a few days ago with gloves and long sleeves on.
