Hi everyone,

I’ve been running with my Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra for years with 474 runs so far and I’ve always seen Strava show a distance very close to, or slightly longer than, what Samsung Health records.

Examples before the One UI Watch 8 update:

  • July 21: Samsung 8.03 km → Strava 8.08 km
  • July 27: Samsung 8.00 km → Strava 8.03 km
  • July 31: Samsung 5.01 km → Strava 5.04 km

After the One UI Watch 8 update:

  • Aug 8: Samsung 7.01 km → Strava 6.82 km
  • Aug 12: Samsung 7.03 km → Strava 6.89 km
  • Aug 15: Samsung 7.11 km → Strava 6.91 km

This is a consistent drop per run compared to Samsung Health, which never happened before the update.

Has anyone else noticed this issue since the One UI Watch 8 update? Is the issue on Strava or Samsung side ?

Thanks!

I had this issue today on my Galaxy Watch7!

On Tuesday with OneUI 7 Watch:

Samsung Health: 5.00 km
Strava: 5.03 km

Today after update the watch to OneUI 8 Watch:

Samsung Health: 5.00 km
Strava: 4.78 km

Anyone know how I can calibrate the GPS or do anything to decrease this discrepancy of distances ?

Yes, I said the problem was solved, but it's back.

Today, I covered 10.68 km (Samsung) but only 10.40 km on Strava.

I will say goodbye to Samsung soon!
