If I have this right:

  • You can only export a route created in Strava Maps by using a desktop computer.
  • You can only import the exported file into Wahoo Element using an iPhone
  • The process in between these two actions is anything but intuitive or easy

Why isn't there a file shortcut for the iPhone that automatically brings up the option to open/import the .gpx file in Element when you press and hold the .gpx file icon? It appears other apps are integrated into the iOS file actions options for this purpose.

You don't need any file handling, you can connect the Wahoo Elemnt to your Strava account and after that Strava routes with a star will be imported automatically.

Ok - didn’t see that feature mentioned in any of the instructions. I’ll test it out on the next route I create.
