I have my Fitbit and Strava accounts linked, so runs, walks, hikes, and bike rides that I record with my Fitbit (Versa 4) are automatically synced to Strava.

There are other activities with GPS tracks though that do not appear to sync.

Specific examples include alpine skiing and ice skating.

Currently I can download the *.tcx file for an exercise from the Fitbit app and then upload it manually on the Strava webpage.

  1. Is there a setting or configuration I am missing that would allow this to automatically sync?
  2. If this is not currently supported, can the Fitbit-to-Strava sync described here (Fitbit and Strava) be extended to include all exercises with a GPS track?

I asked this same question on the Fitbit community forum (Versa 4 Sync all the workouts with Strava) and they indicated that they cannot address the issue from their end, so I am trying on the Strava side now.

Upvote this feature in the community ideas board so we can get some action!! It's a really big gap in the product IMO:

@alinalalji, while I support that request, the specific issue I am calling out is actually narrower (and probably easier to address) since these are activities that DO have GPS data.

It doesn’t look like the idea you linked addresses that (or am I misunderstanding?)
