I used my Garmin Edge MTB in Downhill mode for the first time as I was using an uplift service
It is supposed to operate like Apline Ski - where it just disregards the Uplift sections.
This is fine in Garmin Connect - but when it moved over to Strava it has been flagged and I cannot view any segment data.
It is including all the uplift as recorded activity.
Anyone else had this issue? Limited info on the web and Garmin support have said ask Strava… who haven’t responded...
What sport did it list when it loaded to Strava? Strava does not have a downhill mtb activity type, so it likely loaded as something else, maybe just a regular MTB, which would then either include the lift rides or make the data look a little funky with the gaps depending on how the data trasferred.
It loaded on as a Road Ride then I changed it to the standard MTB activity.
Its a bit annoying as I can't see any segment detail now. May change to Alpine Ski and see if it unflags it.
Unreal that Strava doesn't have a Downhill MTB activity that can handle this. They could just clone the Skiing one and change the name. 😂
