Garmin edge receives zero route data from strava

Hi!

I have saved some routes on strava to ride and would like to see them on my Garmin edge 840. They sync to the Garmin connect app, but for some, they send zero data to the device. It syncs and the course name shows up, but the summary is zero miles and zero elevation while the map only displays blue. It is not for all routes, but most.
what can I do?

Please ensure you have the Courses permission enabled in Garmin Connect as follows:

Garmin Connect website: Enable Courses permission in your Account Information page in order to take advantage of the integration.

From the Garmin Connect mobile app: Using the Connect mobile app, navigate to Settings > Partner Apps > Strava > Enable Courses permission.

If the setting is already enabled, please double check that your device is compatible and contains a Courses folder.

I’ve checked all of that. Some routes work perfectly fine while others simply send no map to the device. I’ve resorted to having to draw the routes manually in garmin connect which in incredibly disappointing as this is the main premium feature I am interested in

Having the same problem and not sure why this is marked as "solved" as clearly it is not. The problem started after the latest Garmin update so please review and suggest a real solution.

Actually I will provide a "workaround" to all those having the same problem -- you can manually export the routes from Strava to GPX, then import them in Garmin and they seem to work fine.
