GPS loss since subscription renewal

Recently I have been having problems with gps loss during mountainbike rides. It seems to be since my subscription renewed for the year. 
Same phone, same trails as always. Close to a populated area and with good phone service. 
 

Did something change on the app? I notice a lot more unnecessary animations in the app etc.
