"Hide/Back" and “Options” buttons from 'Record' screen disappeared (iOS mobile app)

Question

There was a button in the top left corner that I could click to get out from the "Record" screen.

A few days ago, it disappeared. When I click Record, the only way to get myself to the home screen is to kill the app (at least I didn't find any other). Also the gear wheel on the to right corner disappeared so I have no access to options. I have just a white rectangle where they should be.

Clicking on the space where they should be does not do anything.

I tried turning phone on/off, I have tried reinstalling app. Still the same.

Ah - sorry, I tried to search for a similar topic but didn’t find one - yes, that is exactly the same issue - thank you.

I was surprised I couldn’t find info about this, as it seems pretty serious.
Great, I am not alone, but really sad it was not resolved in two weeks.

And because I reinstalled app in silly hope of magic autorepair, I cannot change the default settings, which makes my rides a constant swearing at the screen auto turn-off when I need it to see the map :(.
