I ran a 5k today and did run the full 5k but then when I went to upload it it changed it back to 4.99 I went to change it back to 5 can you help me? Correct the distance?

Open the activity on the Strava website (not the mobile app), then in the menu on the left, click the three dots, and then Correct Distance. That will trigger recalculating of the distance based on the maps data.
