Hello @Rayman

Thanks for posting about this and sorry to hear of the issue.  I've attached some troubleshooting steps here:

If you are not seeing the ability to connect to Strava under the Data sharing and authorization menu in Huawei Health it is because this integration is only available in select countries.

  1. Please make sure both the Huawei Health app and the Strava app are up to date.

  2. Please make sure you are in a region that Huawei has allowed to sync with Strava. If you are not in one of the approved regions you will not be able to sync to Strava.

    1. Europe

    2. Latin America

    3. Asia Pacific

    4. Africa

  3. If you have linked Huawei to Strava please open the Huawei Health app by going to Me > Privacy management > Data syncing Management and make sure you have enabled the following settings.

    1. Sync profile to cloud

    2. Sync fitness data to Cloud

    3. Sync health data to Cloud

  4. If you do not see the sync options noted in Step 3, please reach out to the Huawei support team.

  5. If after confirming the above steps you are still unable to sync activities please try uninstalling and reinstalling the Huawei Health app. Once reinstalled you may need to reconnect Huawei to Strava.

Finally, if your activities still are not syncing to Strava, please reach out to the Huawei support team for further assistance.

Unfortunately no One of the proposed solutions seems ok for me. My app is updated, the strangest thing is that my first activity (at the end of july) was sync, the following ones didn't. I did try to unistall and reinstall the app and to disconnect and reconnect strava to the Huawei account, in every possibile order

Do I understand right? What, synchronization between `huawei health kit ==>> strava` happens between huawei and strava servers? and not from my app directly to strava?
I tried the `health sync` app and after about 5 syncs with the strava servers I hit your server request limits. That is, it seems that you are throttling number of requests. This leads to the data being out of sync at some point. And this has nothing to do with what the support writes above about being in a particular country. For people, synchronization first works, after a while it stops working, there is no stable work.
And why is sync done via `health sync` better than directly `huawei health kit ==>> strava` ?
It turns out that a third-party developer has found a way to get more data from the huawei health kit and upload it to strava?

Hey

I got a huawei watch for my runs to find out that it syncs to strava in specific countries!!

Are you serious?!

I'm in Lebanon and i need a resolution for this!

hello there, i have the same problem with my gt3

Any news? Can you give us update, please?

Hi @LubosM

Thanks for your patience with this.  Unfortunately the issue is not resolved, however we do have some more information and some troubleshooting steps you can try:

Hi Jane,

I wanted to ask if you have a list of the countries that you consider to be part of Asia/Pacific, or if you could advise whether Strava considers New Zealand as part of Asia/Pacific or Oceania.

Cheers
Dan

Same problem with GT4... I think bug is on the Huawei Health side. This is not acceptable to have this issue for such a long time as I see here in this topic.

I ended up setting up a new Huawei health account but "in" the United kingdom where the function is available. Works fine now..... Shame that I lost the health data from my original account but I figured that'll build back up.

Hi.  If you press an activity other than Outdoor Run or Walk on watch, data syncs to Health App but NOT to Strava. Outdoor Run or Walk if fine.  I have G3 watch to Huawei Health on phone to Strava on phone and then to Active Hub on phone

Sync activities from Huawei Healt to Strava are 'Outdoor Run, Walk and Ride' and it work fine with me (Croatia). From GT2e to HH on mob and to Strava.

I agree with you, really annoying issue. I was rowing and cross training and apparently all my records are stuck in Huawei App only. Pretty disappointed, will return to Garmin.

Same problem: trying to sync Huawei Health (on a Huawei P30 Lite) with Strava, in order to get activities from a Huawei Watch GT3, but nothing works. I connected Strava in Health privacy and try with run or walking.

Hi, same problem here, Huawei GT Runner with Huawei Health already says linked to Strava, i did an outdoor run this morning, it didn't show in Strava. (My phone is samsung S10 lite). Any help appreciated, thanks.

Can you confirm me that the Huawey health doesn't synchronized on Strava the sport "swimming" ? I'm in Italy...

Grazie !

I know its old topic but it may be helpful to someone. I wrote to Huawei support about this issue. Was having same problems using Huawei Band 8. I got a respond that only activities that will be synced are : Outdoor run, outdoor walk and cycling. Rest wont be synced due to "incompatibilities".

Few days ago I made an outdoor walk activity, but It wasn't syncronized with Strava. And some months ago I tried outdoor run, but it also fail the sync.

I got the same problem. Tried the outdoor cycling, it worked but when I tried indoor running. Nothing happened

Outdoor running, outdoor cycling and outdoor walking (possibly open water swim) are the only activities that are compatible with the huawei watch and strava

Have you fixed this? If not make sure you have the 'huawei health' app downloaded. Sometimes it will transfer data to strava automatically other times it won't so if it's not try this. Open Strava so it is running in the background. Then open the Huawei Health app, select 'ME' in the menu at the bottom of the screen, scroll down to and select 'settings' and then select 'sync data manually'.

This typically works for me. Just not that the only actvitities that are compatible with strava are outdoor walk, outdoor run and outdoor cycle (possibly open water swim, still a bit chilli here to try that). Let me know how you get on.

Is It possible transfer the Activity (swim indor) foim Huawei health to PC for manual charge on Strava? Thank in advance

No as there's no huawei health app for desktop and it would still present the same issue. However, you can manually record your activity on Strava.

On the Strava app select + and then 'manual activity' enter the data as seen on your 'huawei health app'

Hi.

I don't know about Huawei health -> PC -> manual to Strava, but there's an app called "Health Sync" that allows you to sync directly from Huawei Health to Strava. Its paid, but really cheap, like ~3 dollars for lifetime usage and also a free trial period (7 days, but i may be wrong on that). You need to do some setup first, that is not too complicated. It works great syncing my Huawei health swims directly to Strava.

Great, manually sync seems work fine, in case the automatically sync fails. Thanks
