Hi, Can anyone help please.  Whilst on holiday my phone died from a swim in the sea.  My husband logged out of his Connect and Strava and logged me in both on his phone.  I uploaded my activities.  Logged out.  Cleared cookies he logged himselfback in on both.  I got a new phone.  Got all the apps and started uploading on my phone.  Every activity my husband does automatically adds me on strava still whether im with him or not.  Its also adding my own which I want.  We've logged out of Connect and Strava apps and on the websites.  We've disconnected Bluetooth.  Last step was reset both watches to factory settings.  Its still doing it.  Strava said ask on here.  Connect have been great but can't help.  Please can anyone help.

@Jana_S its sorted thank you for all of your help.  We have a friend who's amazing on computers and he's sorted it.  This below was the problem.

They were just cross authorised to each other's account and disconnecting and reconnecting in the app didnt work as it was still logging into the wrong account. Just needed to clear the sync authorisation on both sides and set them up again.

Thanks again for helping.  Take care x.

Hi @Wendy Jane,

I’ve never encountered this scenario so I’m just guessing, but try the following on your husband's phone - in the Strava app, go to tab You > tap the gear wheel in the top right corner to open Settings > Manage apps and devices > tap Garmin. You’ll be prompted to confirm that you want to disconnect Garmin from Strava. Once done, re-add his Garmin. Hopefully this would stop syncing his activities to your Strava.

If it doesn’t help, let us know here in this thread, and hopefully someone will have some more ideas.

We've tried that thank you.  It doesn't appear connected anywhere on his watch or phone on connect or strava.  Yet still puts me on his activities.  Driving us mad.  Connect were great when we contacted them as Strava said they didn't know.  Thank you hope someone can help.

In case you mean Garmin Connect when you speak of Connect: Did he disconnect Strava in the Garmin Connect app on his phone too? It’s in Settings/Connected Apps/Strava and there is a button “Disconnect” at the bottom.

Ok sooo… do we know what is the source of the unwanted activities? His garmin or his strava?

If he has his strava set up to sync from garmin automatically, then for troubleshooting/diagnostics purposes, have him try switching to manual syncing temporarily in the strava settings. Do an activity, and see if it syncs to your strava (it shouldn't sync to his just yet).

If it does, it's his garmin causing the trouble, and it would be worth digging deeper in there.

Also - the one thing I haven't seen mentioned yet was uninstalling & reinstalling both garmin connect & strava apps. All the data is on Strava and Garmin servers, so deleting the apps and their data locally is safe, and if there's anything broken in the local data, wiping it should help.

Let us know @Wendy Jane  - this is so odd that I’m really curious about the outcome / solution now 😀

Thank you for your help.  Its strava its uploading to.  He said he'll try manually like you say.

We've logged out of the apps and on the websites but haven't uninstalled and reinstalled them.  We will do that now.  I appreciate you going to the trouble and helping.  Thank you very much 😁

We did another factory reset.  Watches were clear no activities.  Went for our separate runs.  Still coming up.  Thank you for your help.

That’s great, I’m happy to hear that it’s fixed now! And I guess I’d better never drown my phone, to avoid all this trouble 🙈😀
