Many activities don't sync to Oura

A lot of my activities do NOT get synced with Oura. I went through the activities completed in Jan/Feb 2025, and 1/3 of the activities in Strava do NOT get synced to Oura. I couldn’t find a pattern that could connect the exercises.

Any ideas what I could do?

Hi ​@annage, here's some details from the Oura support page, could any of it be the reason?

 

The Oura App might not import data from integrations if both apps were not opened before midnight, if "Background App Refresh" is disabled, or if "Lower Power Mode" is enabled. Open both Oura and the integrated app at least once a day to prevent this.

The Oura App will only sync activities for the current day. If you are having trouble syncing your activity, verify that "Date Added" matches the date on which the activity occurred.

Thanks for taking the time to respond ​@Jana_S!

Background App Refresh is on for both. Lower Power Mode might be momentarily on if my phone is running low before recharging, but never for long times, overnight etc. So, there should be enough occasions to sync.

I need to try and test this app opening thing. I definitely open Strava every day I’ve exercised (to close the annoying notifications of my own activities, haha), and I think I open Oura on most days, but I’m not 100% sure if I open it every day. I’m going to try this and follow if this fixes the problem.

Just confirming that this seems to indeed have been the issue. After ensuring I open Oura every day, I haven’t had any unsynced activities. Thanks a lot ​@Jana_S !
