I have bought myself a new mobile phone. Put Strava on it.

So I get challenged on logging in - it wants a 1 time 6 numeric digit password (which had been emaild to me).

Inputted

Couldn’t get access

Tried again

5 or 6 times around in circles before

“The Strava app has encounted an errors. Please contact support if the problem persists”.

I have tried deleting the cache, deleting the data, completely uninstalling the app having deleted the data & cleared the cache, doing this and then rolling the phone over before trying to re-install. Essentially, I have tried absolutely everything I can think of to clear the problem  - but I just get “The Strava app has encounted an errors. Please contact support if the problem persists”.

Needless to say, although I can (and have) logged in here to explain this using my desktop PC), if I cannot log in to to Strava on my phone to start recording an activity, I cannot continue to use Strava and will have to use another app to record my jollies on the bike!!!! I have tried everything I and ChatGPT can think of.

Can anyone else suggest a fix for this? I have been driven nuts trying to remedy the problem or is it terminal?

Happy cycling, everyone!!!

Hi @Paul Eff, it sounds like you’ve been experiencing issues with the new OTC verification, more people reported it here (you might want to follow that thread for any news):

If you haven't managed to make it work in the meantime, you'll probably need to contact Support, as people here at the community hub don't have access to users’ accounts:
