Hi

I have a stages power meter which recorded my power for a ride today on both a Garmin watch and headset. Both recorded 208w average. I had no stops and the Garmin and Strava time was the same, 1:42. However on the Strava app it has logged my ave watts as 181w. 27w lower than both Garmin tools. On the Garmin website it has recorded 199w weighted ave power.  Very confused??

When the 199 W are the weighted average power on the Strava website and the 181 W the average power without “weighted” in the app then there is noch contradiction, these are different calculations.

Seeing that your weighted power in Garmin is much lower than the average power in Garmin I would wager you set it up that the average power in Garmin doesn’t include zeros. In Strava zero power when moving counts for the average.

Hi Jan thank you for the response, unfortunately my error in typing the message! Meant to say the 199w is on the Strava website! Sorry, but thanks again

Hi Jan just checked. Both Garmins have auto pause on so explains the difference between their reading (208) and 199w on the Strava website but still don’t understand why it says 181w on the app???
