Does anyone know how to delete/reset the Strava - Peloton integration?

 

We learned the hard way that Peloton does not validate emails during their setup process.  So we bought a bike, thought we logged into my wife’s correct Peloton account on the bike screen (but mispelled her email), then integrated with Strava.  

 

Later we realized we had the wrong (inaccessible) Peloton account and corrected that, but now cannot connect the correct Peloton account with her Strava account because Strava returns an error that there is already a Peloton account associated with that Strava account.  We cannot “deactivate” the integration from the Peloton end because that email does not actually exist (and the Peloton account deleted.)

 

We have repeatedly tried to get support from Strava, but they just keep replying to our ticket with responses about how to change our STRAVA email, not understanding that we are trying to reset/delete the Strava/Peloton integration to start over.

 

We can “deactivate” the current Peloton/Strave integration, but that does not seem to delete/reset it as when we try to connect from the Peloton app once again Strava still returns a message that there is already a Peloton account associated with that Strava email.

Any help is appreciated!

Apologies for the delay.
Unfortunately, if you aren’t able to access incorrect Peloton account you will have to contact their support.
Strava Support cannot access or change this setup within Peloton.

I recommend the following steps below.

  1. Email screenshots to support@onepeloton.com asking them to investigate the incorrect account on their end. Provide Peloton with your Strava Athlete ID.
    - Your Strava ID is the number located in the URL when on your profile page
     
  2. If Peloton Support tries to push you back to Strava, please ask them to escalate your ticket to Peloton support Level 2.
    They save (on their end) a token that allows them to push data to your account. Even if you’ve invalidated that token w/ Strava, if Peloton failed to remove it from their cloud, then Peloton thinks your Strava is connected.
