Dear Team,

I have a problem importing data from the iGS800 bike computer. I record speed using GPS. On the Strava graph, I don’t see the actual speed but rather some kind of waves. When I ride at a constant speed for a longer distance, the bike computer displays a stable speed. However, on the Strava graph, I see a few seconds of the actual speed, followed by a few seconds where the speed is 10 km/h higher, and then a few seconds where it is 10 km/h lower than the actual speed. Because of this, my maximum speed on every ride is overestimated by about 10 km/h. When importing to Intervals.icu or the dedicated app for the iGS800, this issue does not occur.

Is there anything that can be done about this? Using Strava with such graphs doesn’t make sense.

This is most likely due to GPS sampling. Can you ensure that your device is set to record every second (as opposed to smart recording)?
