what you describe doesn't sound like an intended behavior.
You say you pay $99/year, that means you're a subscriber, right? I am too and I’m not getting any such pop-ups.
Are you talking about the app or a browser? It would help if you include some screenshots.

I use the app. When I click the map of my activity the ad for “The very best of Strava”. An upgrade, with the first month free. I’ll wait a bit before uploading the screenshot I thought I already posted.

I've encountered excessively delayed posts sometimes when the mods are not online or posts are held "for review". Unfortunately that also makes the short edit window useless when mods take 24+ hours to approve a reply. In my experience it is most often when I'm calling out Strava for something absurd, like you are.
actually, all posts with links or images from regular users always require approval… regardless of topic.

Basically, whenever using the Strava app, I’m constantly swiping away or closing splash screens for an upgrade.
I’ll try a reinstall, but if this continues, I certainly won’t be.
So while waiting for the post with the screenshot to show up…
What you describe sounds like Strava advertising the premium subscription version - but you say you already have it, correct?
One reason could be that for some reason, you may have a duplicate account, and are logged into the free one… that's just guessing. To verify - easiest way to tell is, how does your profile picture display? As a circle (free users) or the weird “shield” shape (subscribers)?
The subscription status should also be visible here: https://www.strava.com/account
If that turns out to be the cause, then the Strava Support will need to help you merge the duplicate accounts / transfer your subscription to the correct one.
if it's not it… then likely some kind of bug, but let's try the above first...
I have reinstalled app and it seems to be absent all the upgrade screens and prompts. Looks promising.
