When I select Strava segments in Garmin Connect it only saves this for a few minutes and then reverts back to the Garmin segments checkbox being selected. Anyone else had this issue?

Apologies you never got a reply on this. Did you get the issue resolved? For that kind of an issue on the Garmin Connect site, where a checkbox won't stay selected, I would probably recommend contacting Garmin Support:
