Is there a way to upload distance for treadmill activities via app or recording devices connected to Strava?
I’m aware there is the option to upload activities manually but I would like to find an upload feature for a group challenge.

+27I don’t have a market overview but with Garmin watches you can record indoor activities and the watch will estimate a distance from your movements. That distance can even be adjusted manually on saving the activity. The whole thing is of course just some guess work and ripe to be misused.
