I noticed since 7th July that all my activities, which are hikes, do not include the map recorded by my Amazon fit/Zepp application. I found a question on the community which had suggestions that I followed. None worked and after following the last, and most radical I discovered what may be the issue and cause.
This suggestion was to uninstall and reinstall the Zepp application, which I did. The result was that the map data was completely lost and a message stating that it had not been backed up to cloud.
Issues;
- The app should have alerted the user that the map had not been uploaded, given a reason and suggestions.
- There should have been a warning that uninstalling the app would completely lose this data.
- The instructions to fix after reinstallation are correct and should be updated.
None of these are Strava issues, but I hope it will explain the problem to other users and help them resolve the issue.
