When I use the python API to get the activities from the logged in user, I want to display the heart rate as well, which i don't get in the summary and thats already annoying.So I need to make a separate call to the activity/{id}. But now I find out that i don't get the ID in the summary either. I've tried to upload_id but thats not working either. Does anyone have a solution for this?
I would like to show to my users that they are using the Strava API with limit (100 request per 15 minutes, etc.)The Strava API has HTTP response header for that : X-Ratelimit-Usage and X-Ratelimit-Limit I would like to use them in the HTTP javascript fetch API. HI,I'm currently looking into using the strava api to export my activities to Gpx/Tcx (or any other format that suits my needs) because Garmin doesn't offer such a service / api. When looking into the data and comparing an activity from Garmin, exported in TCX format, with the data I can collect using the streams/laps api I noticed a few things?1. The start/endindex of the first lap sometimes seem to be 0? Why can this happend and how should I deal with this? Since the lenght of the lap corresponds with the length found in Strava/Garmin ui.2. The endIndex of the last lap doesn't correspond with the last index in the stream data? F.i. 1980 for the size in the stream. 1956 in the lap data?Can someone explain to me why this could happen? And how to work with it?
Has gear-related data that is retrievable by APIs been updated since the default gear by sport update (https://stories.strava.com/articles/set-default-gear-by-sport)?I was expecting that the data returned by getActivityById would have gear > primary set to True if the gear used is the primary gear for the activity's sport type (or at least, if that gear was primary for that sport at the time of creation of the activity). However, I'm seeing primary still set to False in that case, so I'm wondering if that field refers to a now defunct global default setting for gear. How can I retrieve whether gear is primary for a sport type with by API?

Love the ease of use of creating routes in Strava vs Gaia. According to GPX specs, routes are plans and tracks are actuals. For whatever reason, Strava’s GPX files are using the <trkpt> instead of <rtept> tags. Is there a reason that when you create a Route in Strava it exports them as a Track in the GPX file? Thank you!

It looks like Strava's GPX importer completly ignores "trkseg" XML tag. In attached file there are two segments.GPX file contains one track (trk XML tag). This track can have one or more segments (trkseg XML tag). Segment have points (trkpt XML tag). Hi all, I've noticed that my webhook is called 3 times when an activity is added or edited. Any reason why this is? There's obviously only one webhook setup at the strava side. I see them in my server logs with something like 7 minutes between them. There are push notifications in my app based on information from the webhook, so now people are getting multiple notifications. What can I do to debug this? My server responds with an empty json response within the specified 2 seconds. Thanks.

The key has read all and read permissions for activities via scope=read,read_all,activity:read_all,activity:read,profile:read_allHowever, the stream query is not working. I was interested to see the new feature Custom Waypoints on Strava Routes! I'm wondering how an app using the Strava REST API can query for the custom waypoints.What I tried:A request to https://www.strava.com/api/v3/athlete/routes didn't show the custom waypoints I addedFrom https://www.strava.com/api/v3/routes/3153006196918182754 I don't see the custom waypoints eitherI was hoping I could use the custom waypoints to remind myself with things like "double check if this road should be marked private in openstreetmap." (That's the main reason I use my custom web app: it shows my strava route overlaid with openstreetmap layers for e.g. private roads, fixme tags, etc.)I don't think the official Strava Android app shows the custom waypoints either: I choose a route before starting recording a run, and the waypoints aren't visible yet.If there's some "developer roadmap" of when we can expect the android app and/or API to support custom waypoints, I'd love to see it!
I’ve recently created a new club and had two people join. I could immediately see their activities in the club feed, even though those activities existed before the creation of the club, and were unrelated to the club e.g. they weren’t club events or group activities done with club members. So for now I’ve disabled the club activity feed.Is there any way to set the privacy level for an activity to be club members and followers only? Or even choose which specific clubs it should appear in? Or alternatively, only show club group activities in the club feed?
I think API write access for Activity privacy settings would be a useful addition to Strava because this would allow users to configure third-party apps to manage their Activity privacy settings with greater granularity than Strava offers through its current UI. I would like to be able to set both Activity visibility as well as Activity map visibility via API. Ideally, Strava would also provide the ability to configure these defaults in-app. However, in lieu of more granular control over privacy defaults within the app itself, this would be a significant improvement to Strava's privacy features and one that would have a significant positive impact on user Trust & Safety. For example, it would allow a user to programmatically hide the entire map for their commutes, walks, or runs—which may tend to occur in more predictable zones and within a tighter radius of their residences and places of work—while configuring different default map visibility settings for bike rides or ski activit

Hi there.Since this morning I have been getting Error 500 from my calls to get the club activities. It has been running smoothly for the past 22 days but suddenly today I am facing issues without any changes to programming, code or how it is used. I have checked all the access codes etc and they are all correct.This is the most important few days for the project which finishes on Christmas day, so I really need to find a fix for whatever has happened
Can you please update the clubs documentation at https://developers.strava.com/docs/reference/#api-Clubs. The data returned does not match the docs and there is some limit to the pagination effecting the number of activities that can be returned. Many users ran into both these issues and posted on the old Google groups.Hopefully when you document these it will become clear this endpoint needs to be improved as it's currently of very limited use.
