Hello,

Is there a way to customize the list of sports to choose from when we start a new activity? When I want to select a sport on my watch, I see a whole bunch of sports I don't practice (for instance, skateboard or Alpin skiing). I would like to see only the ones I practice (4 or 5).

Thanks!

Jo

Hi @Banosjo

Thanks for your post!  Could you reply and let us know which watch you're using to record?  If you're using the Strava App for Apple Watch you can set your Sport type in your settings.  See instructions here.

I'm using an Apple Watch. I didn't see in your instructions link the way to select the activities I want to see in the drop down list when I want to start a new activity. I currently have 50 activities to choose from and I only practice 2 or 3 of them. I would like to see only them in the drop down list.

Hi @Banosjo

Thanks for getting back to us.  On the Apple Watch App, the activity list cannot be edited manually.  However as you record more activities, the Watch App will use your previously most selected/used sport types and list those first in the list of all available sport types.   I hope that's helpful.

Is it possible to add in a future release the possibility to manually edit the activity list? How can I share this idea with the developers? Thanks 🙂

I agree this would be very helpful. The list is supposed to update with list commonly selected sports listed first, but that hasn’t happened for me and I’d prefer to delete activities I’ll never use

I agree we need a way to manage this. The hierarchical list doesn't always put the most used sport at the top, and sporadically resets it after an OS update. A simple tool to reject the sports that we don't participate in would be exceptionally useful.

This is broke now, most recent/used activities are no longer at the top, way too many activities to choose from making it difficult to select the right one. Need the option to remove clutter activities that we never use.

This👆

I now have the same issue. My most used activities no longer bubble to the top of the list. I recently had had to start schooling through countless activities to find the ones that I use regularly. It is annoying. We need to be able to adjust these manually or Strava needs to fix the previous setup. (Please and thank you!🙏)

YES! This is now broken …it no longer moves most used to the top. Super annoying to scroll to bottom of list every day!

Strava fixed this in their most recent update, FYSA. My most used activities are now at the top of the list when I open my Apple Watch app. 🙌

Firstly it doesn’t populate to the most used activity for top down on the list anymore after one of the updates.  Secondly it’s ridiculous that the user can’t toggle off activities.  Seems you can toggle everything else on or off in the app world except for strava 🙄

This exact response you posted a year ago and guess what?   It’s still broken

This issue is fixed for me as of Strava app version 355.0.5, FYI

My Outdoor Ride goes to the top, but it sure would be great to be able to edit the list for anything else one might want to do.

Not for me! This is a stupid oversight, for an app that’s otherwise great.

This is a must have. I do 3 sports cycling, table tennis and football.

List never gets updated depending on most used activities.

I have to scroll on my watch to find each activity.

There should be a setting on my profile or you should be able to list these activities depending on frequency.
