[Resolved] Some Peloton activities no longer syncing from Peloton App to Strava

UPDATE FROM STRAVA:  

 

Hello all! We are going to mark this Known Issue as resolved. As of now, Peloton is working on the issue and if any athlete's are having repeated issues, please reach out to Peloton for updates/troubleshooting (https://support.onepeloton.com/). In the meantime, the workaround would be to enter the missed activity manually on Strava to get the credit for the missing activities.

 

 

Not sure where to report this - I put a note up on Reddit and I'm not the only one having this issue.  If you use the Peloton App (I was traveling and using at a Hotel Gym) any classes will usually sync with Strava - for some reason any of the Walk/Run classes will no longer sync to Strava.  You can take a cycling class, a yoga class, a stretch class, anything else - they all sync fine, but the Run/Walk classes no longer sync.

Thanks for reporting this.  We are aware of this issue, and are working with Peloton to hopefully resolve this issue going forward.   The workaround in the meantime would be to enter the missed activity manually on Strava.

Have had this exact issue for about 2-3 months. I am glad it is not just me!! Same thing, no run classes will upload but everything else will. Feedback initially has been "too many data points" but no resolution. Hopefully a fix soon!

Hi Jane - is there any update on this as this has now been an issue for months and still really frustrating runs are not posting straight to Strava from Peleton. Many thanks

I've checked with my Team and this issue is still outstanding.  We have reached out to Peloton and hope to hear back soon.  I have added your comments to the open bug report in our system.

Also bumping for an update. How has this been a known issue for so long? My rides on the bike sync fine. My outdoor activities just disappear. Everything used to work fine.

Same here! Was working fine but all of a sudden no walks or runs through the peloton app will sync to Strava. Anything I can do??

Adding to this, my “just walk” “just yoga” etc open workouts used to sync just fine. Now not only do they not sync, months worth of those workouts are gone from my strava profile.

Got nothing syncing now. Not even my bike+ workouts have come through. The last activity that came through from my bike was Tuesday and I’ve done 2 Powerzone rides plus cooldown, stretches and strength since then. Anyone else? I’ve deleted and reset the link on bike and app even logged in and out of the Strava app.

Jane, have Peloton even acknowledged your message? Should we assume this will never get fixed because Peloton has such horrible support?

I am having this same issue with Run/Walk. I also did a 'Just Cardio' as well and it did not transfer to my Strava either.

Similar issue, did a ride on Monday everything synched like normal, did a three ride stack today and none of they synched. Even when I manually pushed them to Strava, nothing showed up. Very frustrating.

Same problem, just started today. Did a 60 min ride, didn't sync to Strava like it normally does immediately. Tried to manually sync, no luck. Checked all settings etc. Did another 5 min ride to see if that one synced. Did not either.

Having the same issue today. I tried to even manually upload and disconnect/reconnect my account and nothing is synching.

Similar issues. Most rides on my peloton+ bike and tread upload. If I used the phone app, it’s about 25% chance they don’t sync. And even logging out, resetting connection, etc doesn’t help. 
today I did two rides on my bike+ and neither sync’s to Strava despite typical attempts at manual push, disconnect, etc.

Same experience for me. Issue started happening to me suddenly now too beginning last week (not all, but most workouts no longer syncing despite integration still enabled, logging in and out of Peloton and Strava, upgrading apps, etc., etc.). 

When I attempt to upload/re-upload workouts from Peloton to Strava (runs or rides), I get a success message, but they don’t appear in Strava. 

I already feel like I overpay for Strava for the extras I get. Please fix this @Jane11 as this is a basic feature that appears to be a Strava vs  Peloton issue.

Same issue for me.  I was using my iPad with my treadmill and none of the running classes sync.  I thought it was the iPad so I tried my iPhone.  That worked a couple of times but now that's not working either.

Hello Jane, my maps from open runs via the Peloton app are not importaing to strava. It shows the run time and distance, but the map, elevation, and personal bests are not showing up. Is this the same issue? I've tried reaching out to support and have not heard back. I am almost done with the trial period and sort of wanting to hear about this before deciding to pay for the app. Maybe this isn't something Strava does? Wanted to see if its an actual issue or just not a feature offered. Thank you!

Honestly it’s one of the reasons I pay for this service I sort of wish I hadn’t.
