It would be really useful to enable the ability for your users to edit an activity they have completed.  Stats that could be added would include time, distance, elevation gain, heart rate, calories etc.

Sometimes we forget to start an activity but when we remember to add it we have to let it run for the whole duration so it records the time spent on that activity. For example today I did pilates, I forgot to start the activity, so I added it later but I only let it run for 6 seconds rather than the 45 mins thinking I could stop the activity, have it uploaded to my time line and simply edit the duration to 45 min. Sadly this does not seem possible. I'm sure other users would like to be able to amend their session so it can be adjusted to reflect time, distance and duration for other activities. So hopefully this makes sense and other users will find this feature equally useful. Thank you.

I really want the ability to edit the distance on indoor activities imported from third-party tools (eg. Apple Watch Workout app via HealthFit). If challenges are a concern, just treat those manually edited distances the same as manually recorded activities (which likely don’t count). There’s really no difference between the two. It would at least be helpful for personal stats tracking.

And please let us enter two decimals for those distances!

We need this! Today I did a workout and forgot to stop my Garmin... I worked out for 1:10 but it shows 2:30. How do I edit this?

@cfletcher1971 - I don't know if it works in all activity types, but for things like running and biking, you can "crop" out a portion of a file.  If you left the garmin running, you may be able to open the activity and select "crop activity" and follow the instructions to remove the extra portion.

I’ve noticed that when you upload a manual activity to Strava, elevation is not an input option. This feature should be added below time and distance as elevation gained during a workout can change the intensity of it greatly. I Just thought that this was something that needed to be added and I hope everyone is having a great day!

@Maxthompson - If you use the web browser version of Strava, you do have the option to input elevation gain.  For some reason, Strava has not made that available on the mobile app, but at least there is a way to do it by using the web browser.

@anchskier That’s true; however, it doesn’t count towards your overall fitness level and is essentially just cosmetic

The ability to crop time and distance (where applicable) and edit other stats, on all activity types would be really good UX design. I mean, who hasn't left a watch running running running, just as one example. Should be an easy platform change to make. Make software for the users, not users for the software...

@PDanX - You have been able to crop an activity for a long time.  It is really simple to do.  When you open the activity, just click the 3 dots in the top right and select "crop activity".  In the desktop version, just click the three dots on the left and select "crop".

@anchskier Roger that, and thanks, but I meant to say for activities OTHER than for running, biking, etc. For example, a gym workout or Crossfit or such. To my knowledge there is no way to edit duration, or to manually enter heart rate or much at all. Crop works great on distance based activities logged by a watch; use it all the time.

Hello, i do some workouts with indoor cycling (non-digital). After the workout i have to manually register my distance in the garmin connect-app. But I can't find this option in Stava-app. For us using non-digital bike or a smart-trainer this option is really missing out. please make this possible during an update of strava, kind regards from Norway.

Please make the distance edit, time edit etc. available to the app ASAP! It would make the app so so so much better and more intuitive.

Hi!

I can track my indoor rowing on my fenix. This gives me HR, Strokes and time.
I would love to be able to manually add a distance so I could get pace&distance on the run.

Right now I have to choose between:
1) Manual Entry: distance & time -> no HR.
2) Sync Entry: HR & time -> No distance/pace

Could we get
3) hybrid: tracked time & HR + manual distance -> HR, Pace, Distance, Time

I have made my first indoor spinning this year and have forgotten to check the battery of speed sensor. Now I have the record both in Garmin Connect and Strava. But the distance shown in GC has not been transfered to Strava (there is "0"). I tried to delete the record from Strava, export the gpx, fit, csv from GC and upload it to Strava. The data have been transfered, however, without the distance.
I also tried to edit the imported activity, but there is no place to add the distance. Manual entry, on the other hand, does not include the caddence and HR record.
What next?

Today, I made a longer indoor spinning with two longer breaks. In totla I rode 3:10 hours and 60km in total. But:

Garmin Connect reported the total time 3:10:02, total distance 60.13km and avg. speed 19km/h
Strava reported the total time 7:27:47, total distance 60.13 and avg. speed 8.1km/h - the avg.speed here is nonsense.

I deleted the record in Strava, exported the ride from Garmin Connect and uploaded it to Strava again.

The result is the same. It seems to me, that breaks were not excluded from the calculation. Is this a standard?

Please. We need a design that allows users to make human errors. I simply cannot be relied upon to remember to "start" and "finish" workouts on my Strave app on my Apple watch... I'm busy living/socializing/planning which weights to use... all things I SHOULD be doing. I need to be able to retroactively edit these activities to accurately reflect the amount of time I was actually working out (instead of showing as 2 minutes or 7 hours and 45 minutes!) When I had my Fitbit, I could look at my "heartrate history" and make a pretty accurate guess as to when the workout actually started an ended, and modify the activity... even days later.  It's MY activity... I know better than any machine or computer what actually happened (or didn't happen!).
