Ability to manually add distance to Gear

Strava only lets you log distance against gear if you have a corresponding activity for it in Strava.

But I have gear that has logged distance in other apps/pre-Strava that I would like to manually add. There's currently no way for me to do this, which means I don't get a true view of the distance logged against gear as I cannot add pre-Strava KMs against it.

It would be great if we could go into each item of gear and add in additional distance that isn't linked to a Strava activity.

Hi, please allow shoe mileage to be manually edited. I'm new to Strava and not being able to input the correct historical mileage on my shoes is frustrating.

Thanks for submitting your idea to manually add mileage to gear. It has been reviewed by our moderation team and is now open to voting.

For some context: Currently, you can only add mileage to your gear if the mileage on that gear is recorded on Strava. You can't manually set the gear mileage.

So if your activities for your gear are on Strava then you can go to the My Activities page and edit your previous activities to set the correct gear for those activities.

Unfortunately, for activities not on Strava, it is not currently possible to add that mileage to your bike or running shoes. The only way to accomplish this will be to create a manual activity assigned to that Gear item to account for its pre-Strava mileage.

This is a necessary feature. All my mileage is on Strava but I don't always add shoes or remember to mark them for a specific workout. However, I have a separate record and would like to update the Strava numbers to match.

yes I need this feature too. As an ultra runner I change shoes during long race and would love to get the right mileage on my shoes after racing. Or if we will ba able to add 2 or 3 pairs of shoe on 1 activity will be good too.
