Add commuting (and CO2 saved) to My Stats

My Stats in my STRAVA account is a wonderful place to see top level information for the past 4 Weeks, Year and All TIme. It would be very nice to have similar statistics capturing "commuting" information, especially adding the new "CO2 saved" as a subheading of "commuting". Imagine what this would add up to for the whole STRAVA user community!

You're speaking my mind! I had the exact same thought yesterday when I saw the new CO2 display.

 

If I had had the time to log into the Community Hub yesterday, I would have posted the same thing.

@Strava: Please introduce a commuter CO2 statistic!

I love the idea of gathering and totaling the CO2 reduction data as an incentive to ride instead of drive for transportation.  It could be part of a monthly challenge.

Our commuting rides show CO2 reduction per ride.  I would love to see this data accumulated every week, every month, and every year.  It could also be used as a community goal to encourage using a bike instead of a car for transportation purposes.  Most communities with sustainability goals look to reduce VehicleMilesTraveled and SingleOccupancyCommutes in their sustainability goals.  What a great way to start measuring the impact.

Add to the math that for fueling your ride needs more CO2, so from the car generated CO2 production you need to subtract your extra CO2 production.

Strava, please do not go to that false green route!

I would like to be able to see how high my co2 savings are per year and over the entire period of all activities when I have selected the "commute" tag.
