I use Strava for my runs and for some walks but have always been disappointed that I can't use it for when I ride my horse. Have used it and marked as cycling, but it's not accurate.
Hi could you please include horse riding on Strava. Adding options for training for associated equestrian sports such as cross country, show jumping, carriage driving & even dressage as well as endurance horse riding would be much appreciated as most people that want to use Strava have to pick another sport to record their activity which is not giving yourselves true data.
Adding my support to the request for equestrian activity to be included. As a horse rider, my sport and my leisure involves riding distances to build strength, stamina, proprioception, fitness but most of all for enjoyment and wellbeing for my pony and I.
horse riding as a sport. It is an excellent proposal. I would like to include horse riding as a sport when doing an activity. There are many sports applications that include it and Strava has been left behind on this issue. Categorizing an activity as equestrian, in my case, is essential. So much so that I'm considering my annual subscription in case it's not included, since I'm using another app to record these activities.
I don't get, why its so promlblematic add some equestrian options, there are years of pleading for them. I have pause to horse riding for 6 years, and nothing change. Good old Endomondo 🙄 now i have to sign my horse rides as a "workout", because for "ride" as a bike there were problems with top 10 on some segments.. I plan to switch on another app. If there was horse riding, I would pay for a membership right away, and I wouldn't be the only one i think..
Equestrian sport is an Olympic sport. The athletes are professional and competitions exist since earliest sporting contests including during the Greek times with the earliest manuals written on horse sport dating back to 2nd century.
Until equestrian sport are no longer included in the Olympic Games there is no necessity to discriminate against this sport in this platform.
+1, a thousand times over. Please add horseback riding - ideally all equestrian sports, but even just trail riding to start so we don’t have to use hiking or other sport options. PLEASE!
How about finally adding horse riding (trail riding) as an activity as a happy new year gift for 2024? This thread has been going for ages and lots of rather niche activities have been added to strava. Why no riding when 2.4million people in the UK ride and millions more world wide? (NB that stat of from research by the British Equestrian Trade Association)
