Editable surface type

It will be great if one can use a completed ride to submit corrections to Strava for the surface type on route builder. E.g. right-click on sections of a route recently rode, and choose a surface type based on actual data. On many sections I ride, the surface type is shown as "Not specified" and it would be great to be able to submit a surface type directly from my ride.

Thanks for posting about this. We pull that data from our map provider OpenStreetMaps (OSM), and you can submit surface type corrections to them.

How to submit map feedback

Look for the heading titled "Specific Editable Properties" and you'll see Surface type listed.

We appreciate your interest in improving maps on Strava.

If you got an android phone you can use "Street Complete" as the easiest way to contribute to OSM, specifically surface type and quality.
