@Soren the data on your platform shows that people are already recording rides on Moto's, they just classify it as MTB. This is easily observable on the global heatmap by looking at moto specific areas.
Implementing moto as a sport will not only benefit the community that rides moto as well as MTB. But it will also aid in cleaning up your data.

100% agree. Motocross/Moto-Enduro/Moto-Trail should be options. I am an avid cyclist but all my bicycle riding community also loves moto and we’re all on Strava. Far more intense a workout than a lot of my cycling rides.
Just add a category for moto! As many others have said, people are already recording moto rides under different categories. Why shift the effort to the users, who have to individually flag rides every time a KOM is smashed?
The only thing moto riders can do to protest this is to mess up the MTB/Ebike data more. Why not just be inclusive?
If you're worried about being associated with petrol/gas bikes, just add E-MX. I've ridden a KTM free-ride and with Stark Varg and others growing E-MX is a good first start, not far from your existing category e-bike. E-MX or E-Enduro is way more demanding than E-bikes.
Please include motocross, dirtbike or enduro in alternative sports, you have included pilates, weights and soccer which are also difficult to monitor. Thank you
Please do not add motorized options to strava. It’s already an issue that e-bikes are being tracked in the platform and ruining the segment times. This is a terrible idea and I’ll likely cancel my subscription if it’s added.
@hatumai - This is exactly why you should be advocating for Strava to add motorized options to strava tracking... because we are *going* to track our motorized usage with Strava (because it's great, and nobody can stop us).... and them not having a motorized category is what is causing the segment times to get ruined. If they would even add a "miscelaneous power assisted" category, we could use that instead.
I 100% agree, we need a moto / enduro option. Like someone else said, a good first step would be to start with e-Mx or e-Enduro. If you don’t add them, we’re still going to record our rides in the emtb section and mess up the data.
Count me as another who would like to see motocross added as a category. I have found that most motocross tracks in my area have already got segments created, utilizing the mountain bike category, which just shows how many users participate in this sport. Keep in mind that motocross relies much more on physical fitness than other motorsports. I would say it has more in common with mountain biking than it does with auto racing. If there are business reasons that this will not be possible (as has been suggested by moderators in other posts), then is there a way for users to map the motocross profile on other apps to the mountain bike profile in Strava? My Polar watch/app has a motocross profile but I don't use it because I want to see the segments in Strava so I use MTB like everyone else at the track. Fortunately I only ride on motocross specific tracks so my data isn't throwing off any mtb trail data but I could see how that could be an issue for trail riders out west where you have both motorcycles and mountain bikes on the same trails.
Like many people, I have tracked more than 500km of endurance motorcycle riding with Strava and it has heavily affected the local heatmap. This has caused a noticeable increase in mountain bikers on our local motorcycle ONLY trails & tracks.
Please, add a category specific to motorcycles so that Mountain Bikers can trust the data they see on Strava. Electric or otherwise, it doesn't really matter. Coming to you from New Zealand.
We should be able to track our rides without putting someones health on the line.
