Hello Ben and thanks for this suggestion. At this time we are not accepting suggestions for feature rollbacks so we will be archiving this idea. There's an ongoing discussion thread about segment length here that you can share your thoughts in if you like. We appreciate the feedback.
If you are not going to even contemplate rolling back a generally unpopular move, can we at least have a clear explanation as to why the move was made in the first place?
The new rule means that I can't make any segments shorter than around 20% of my typical running distance. So, unless another user is planning to take the exactly the same set of twists and turns along generally quiet suburban roads as me (unlikely) creating new segments in my area is now almost pointless. The minimum distance for urban and suburban running segments probably needs to be around 200m in order for the feature to be useful.
