Strava Flyby feature ongoing promotion in feeds

Make an ongoing promotion advertising existence of Strava Flyby. It seems that many people are simply unaware of its existence. And it looks like Strava already has a mechanism in place to advertise features by presenting info about them in the feeds. That would give a chance to bring back Strava Flyby from the dead after it was killed a few years ago by forcibly disabling it for everyone.

Strava Flyby is (was?) one of the best features of Strava, which allows people passing by each other to connect or simply say "hi!".

I don’t think that would go over well with most users; however, I don’t see why the Flyby button couldn’t simply be added to all (public?) activities, regardless of whether the user has Flyby enabled. If the user clicks the button but has Flyby disabled, offer to enable it right then and there with an explanation of how the feature works. Right now, the button only appears if you have Flyby enabled, making discoverability particularly poor.

People who don’t look back on their own activities likely don’t have any interest in Flyby, so this could be an unintrusive way to increase awareness of the feature among those who might be interested. Right now, it’s pretty useless, being disabled by default, with most users having no idea it even exists.

Other things get advertised constantly. This would just be an additional one. Also "View Flybys" isn't visible in the mobile app and I know cyclists, who never use the Strava web page. And not looking at their own activities doesn't mean that none of them would like to become discoverable by people passed by.

I'm 100% in favor of anything that would make people more aware of the Flyby feature. It was one of my favorite things about Strava before it was disabled by default.
