As a rider who is of a certain age, I know there are PR’s I will never see again. What if there were “lifetime” PR’s and another category of PR for, say, the past year?

Yes!  As someone in my latter 1/2 century, I find myself looking for new segments so I can set a more recent benchmark to track annual progress and get the incentive of PRs.

I recently suggested that Strava calculates an age graded percentage for each run and ride, which would basically accomplish the same thing whilst also allowing you to compare your activities against those of athletes of other ages and genders.

Age grouped PRs and KOMs using the same age bands as eg park run, would be great.

Age groups reflect the age/sex categories found normally in athletics. They start with "junior" categories ("under 10", 11-14, 15-17 and 18-19). These are followed by the senior categories, increasing by bands of 5 year increments, from 20-24 to 30-34, and then the veteran groupings
