Hey everyone! I'm looking to transfer two registrations for Around the Bay this year! My running buddy and I have had a rough few months and have not been able to train properly and we don't want to defer. Does anyone want to buy our registration off of us? Hola soy de Venezuela tienen una estadística de cuantos usuarios existen activos con la aplicación en Venezuela? Mi pregunta es porque muchos o en mi caso quiero pasar de la opción gratuita a la paga pero no hay un método de pago local unoteo método más universal que se pueda usar en este momento para emigar a las opcion de Strava pago y así disfrutar de todos los beneficios de la aplicación o si existe me pueden indicar como es esa otra opción gracias Saludos  TRANSLATION:  Hello, I am from Venezuela, do you have statistics on how many active users there are with the application in Venezuela? Tuesday Chat with Team Strava: The Best Laid Plans - When Workouts go Awry

Most of us have been there.  In spite of our best attempts to organize and plan our fitness related life, things just sometimes don’t work out the way you expect. I surveyed some of my Strava Colleagues and asked them to share some of the more humorous anecdotes of when this happened to them.   Hope you enjoy! Skippy: When we first moved down here I needed to have an adjustment done on my hybrid bike. I took it to what I hoped would become my new local bike shop. They were fantastic and made my adjustment free of charge. I got home only to discover my pants were torn in the back and one cheek was exposed to the world. No wonder the guy helping was smiling and did the fix for free.    Tre:  I tried to go to the gym and my boss slacked me immediately saying she needed to get on a call within the next 15 minutes, proceeds to talk to me for 30, and my workout window closes. Run Training using Power Zone

Hello Everyone,   We all know and understand how to run using the following: Percieved Essertion Effort Pace Speed Heart Rate Zone And in most cases we use the above metrics in combination however, does anyone have any comprehensive content on how to train using power zone especially for runners. Yes there is a lot of content on power zones for cycling but as we all know you dont exactly use the same muscles when running v when cycling.    I am particularly interested in also know how power zones change  across gender and age the same way HR zones are calculated. And i want to understand how zone training impact energy in the body over time more esp when running 5KM, 10km, 21km and 42km.    Anyone with credible input and sources pmease feel free to share. If there are scientific papers please share and lastly what is your experience training via power zones and which product do you use to measure such ?

What Date does Strava use to determine age group cohorts?

Hey All, First post to this group.  Does anyone know if Strava groups us into age cohorts using our actually calendar birthdate, or does it use the more common "racing age" of 12/31 of the year of our birth?  Thanks.

GPS Differences!

I've been running a lot recently with my partner as part of a new year's health kick. I run with a Garmin Instinct Solar whereas she just tracks using the Strava app on her iPhone. We come out with different results every time and, whilst I would expect my watch to be more accurate than the standard iPhone GPS, I'm not always 100% convinced based on the map etc.Whilst the differences in timing etc do not make much of a difference to me as I am not a serious runner, she has targets in mind as she is training for a half marathon later this year and feels it might be hampering her as she is worried she will not be running at the required pace for her target time based on her training. What do you think we should do to judge the most accurate stats for our runs?

Subscription Fee Increase

So I have been a subscriber for over 10 years and I got my email from Strava this announcing an inflation busting pricing increase. The justification that the price has largely remained unchanged (well only if 100% increase over the years counts as unchanged) and that the increase is justified because of all the new features (and lets be honest when was the last time they launched a game changing new feature? 3D Maps? hmm I would probably not notice if that was dropped)So what does the community think? Are Strava are abusing its monopoly position and profiteering? Are we going to suck it up? I have been a premium subscriber for over 10 years and the only time they put a foot wrong before was when they changed the feed - but I now see that pure greed is clearly their mission rather than inspiring and connecting athletes around the world.Thoughts?

I'm being targeted for flagging by a rider.

Hi.I started riding on Strava seriously this week after getting some upgrades for my bike, and I was surprised i managed to nab some KOMs. They weren't impressive, but I was happy. Only issues - they were both from the same guy, and everytime I beat one of those KOMs I get instantly flagged a few minutes our hours later. I have three activities which have been flagged so far, and a support ticket (https://support.strava.com/hc/en-us/requests/2818445). I really need assistance as this abuse of the system has been ruining my experience. Can you help prioritize the ticket or is there anything else I can do to prevent situations like these?

Tracking Goals

Hi all!  I have been setting goals and tracking against them for some time.  I just started MTB.  I did a ride last and this week and the distance and elevation (my two goals) did not show these rides.  I went back and see that when you set a goal you need to choose - Ride, MTB, etc.  There is a feature to select All Sports which would have included both.  The Question is: now that I have a weekly goal that we originally set to Ride, how to I change that to add other activities such as MTB?  Thanks!

Strava Customer Service HELP

I hope somebody sees this and can help me. I am a college student, and was using the app to help track my half-marathon progress. Unfortunately, I became injured early when I had the free trial and am now not able to use this app after healing from several surgeries. I forgot about my free trial and was charged a hefty amount today, a price that I can not afford with my medical bills, grocery, and school tuition. I canceled my subscription immediately, but am hoping for a refund. I emailed and messaged, but am hoping I can get a soon reply before it gets too late. PLEASE HELP! Thank you so so so much.

segment question

Hi folks;I'm doing route planning for a charity gran fondo in Ontario Canada.  We're wondering about the idea of including a Strava segment on two of the routes.  We would do prizing for the KOM, QOM and perhaps fastest seniors participating in our event.I have a paid subscription to Strava - so I use segments a bit and have a few favourited for use on my wahoo, etc., but my question is - would ALL Strava users receive times on the identified segments on that day or ONLY the paid subscribers?Would I see segment times for free strava members even if they cannot see themselves?Idea would be that we would visit the segment pages on the website after the event and see who had the fastest time - award a prize - include this in wrap up ceremonies.Thanks!
