Add ability to mute activities by default

Allow users to set in their profile "Mute By Default". This is a privacy setting, users may not wish to "flood" their friends or groups feeds with activities, even if they wish to record these activities for their own record.

Additionally, Mute should be able to be enabled on the web platform too, not just the app.

Always muting a specific activity type would be great and save a ton of time in not having to edit the activity after it’s been uploaded

Found this when searching as it is what I would wish to have as well. I don't want to mute my commutes after uploading them. So having a "mute by default" would be awesome. I'd rather manually unmute other activities that I'd like to share with friends.

Really great for Strava to provide the mute button to keep workouts public but let you select what clutters up your friends’ feeds. But it is a pain to go in and mute every dog walk, commute and weightlifting session. Mute by default would be awesome so we could unmute only our awesome rides 😁

Currently, I use an external service to mute all my activities by default. Like @Jan_Mantau, I want enough time to name my activities (I import automatically from my watch, rather than recording via the app), add a description, get achievements calculated, and sort through the photos of my hike before unmuting them. But it’s unclear whether this always bumps the activity to the top of the feed (I’ve seen evidence that it might, though it doesn’t seem 100% reliable). At a minimum, Strava could delay posting of activities until achievements are calculated.

Many (most?) people don’t scroll back through their feeds, so once they’ve seen an activity, they won’t see any updates to it.

Option to stage an activity in before it automatically posts live - it could even an option to delay posting for 1 hour so we have the opportunity to add media, descriptions, change title, etc.

Please, please, I really want to mute a particular kind of activity by default - like mute all Peloton or mute all ebike, or mute all checked as commute, etc. Then, we can track our own stuff without spamming our friends.

It would be great if there would be an option to put your activity default not on activity feed. I know I can put it default private but for flexibility would it be great to have also this option. 

For example I don't care letting people know how much core-training I am doing, but don't want to hide it either.

I’d like a default setting where I can turn off the option for getting kudos. As this is currently not possible, I’ve set all of  my activities to “Only You”.

I believe no one cares about my virtual rides, just because I don't care about other's. I'd like to have those muted by default.
