1. It would be really helpful to have the ability to when planning a route have access to these maps:
- gradient
- altitude difference
2. and perhaps (but this is secondary):
- expected speed, expected hr, expected tempo, etc.
3. Thirdly it would be amazing to have a layer with:
- option to display heatmap per paved/unpaved
- option to only display heatmap of activities of others in specific date period (e.g. to see beforehand if a mountain pass or forest route is open)
Background info:
Access to the maps with gradient and altitude difference during planning would enable much more efficient day planning for long routes in unknown terrain. Since the map layers seem to be available in the activity screen, I hope these can be added tot the route planning functionality. The suggestions 2 and 3 would really make Strava route building stand out more compared with other route builders. Thanks for your consideration!
